Second time coming here and another home run! I sure wish they were closer to me, I could become a regular. I got the Burger with a yummy side of cucumber salad, covered in Parmesan. Loved the horseradish mayo on my burger. My daughter couldn't stop saying how good her brunch special Creole Steak and eggs were. It looked and smelled delicious. She was stuffed but sad the amazing food was gone when she finished. Our server recommended it and she was glad to hear. Nice decor with comfy booths and a covered patio that is dog friendly. Can't wait to visit again

Just sorry I didn't come here sooner. Reasonable prices, great waitstaff (Jen!), a diverse menu and delicious food. I had the Lemon Chicken. Incredible. Such a large portion I brought home almost half of it. My husband had the Creole Walleye, which he loved. Great flavor- not too spicy- and he couldn't get over how delicious the Fried Green Tomatoes were that it was served upon. We started with the Paloma for him and the Champagne Margarita for me. Both very tasty, but out of the two the Paloma was the clear winner. And yes, they take reservations! We'll definitely be back soon!

The wedge salad is a great change up with Romaine lettuce. Their new spring menu is out!! My handsome husband and son, each had Lemon Chicken. TWO large pounded thin breasts, very tender. Served along green beans and potatoes with an inspiring, flavorful lemon sauce. Could easily be shared with maybe an additional side. Enjoy!!

I tried 101 Beer Kitchen for the first time on a Saturday at around 6:30 p.m. I did not have a reservation. I would describe the greeter as more efficient than friendly. She advised that I would have to wait about twenty minutes to be seated. I asked her whether the bar was "first come first serve." The greeter said it was, so I put my name on the waitlist for a table and looked for two open seats at the bar. Ideally, the greeter would have told me about the bar being available without a wait. Had I not assumed that the bar was seating was available, I might have unnecessarily stood around waiting for a table to become available, I do not remember a lot about the ambiance of the restaurant, but I thought restaurant looked clean. And I liked the fact there was a hand washing station that was outside of the bathroom. After finding two open seats at the bar, we sat down. There were not any menus available, so I started searching for a menu on my phone. The bar tender eventually came over and handed menus to us. The bar tender stood out for his ability to be attentive and friendly without being intrusive. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. My wife ordered a salad of some kind. While waiting for the food to arrive, I watched a UFC fight on one of the televisions that was over the bar. I was well positioned to see the television, but I could easily imagine that some people would be disappointed if they planned to go to this restaurant to watch a game. The television viewing experience at 101 is inferior to what you would experience at a restaurant such as Twin Peaks. (But 101 is a much better place to take a date!) While waiting for the food to arrive, I was able to look into the kitchen. Nothing alarming was happening. The parts that I could see looked clean. That was encouraging. On both sides of the window that allows you to view the kitchen, there were lists of beers. The restaurant offers a good number of choices if you are a novice beer drinker. The burger, fries, and salad arrived after a reasonably short amount of time. I thought the burger ranked somewhere between acceptable and exceptional. For the price (around $15), I did not think it was drive-across-town-for-it good. And I did not think the taste was as good as what you might get at the Hop Doddy in Austin, Texas, But if you are already in the restaurant and want to have something basic to pair with your beer of choice, then I do not think you would go wrong with 101's burger. I think my wife placed her salad in the "acceptable but not exceptional" category. I think the total bill was $33 (including the tip). But I could easily see spending $50 - $75 if I wanted to have a couple drinks and a couple of the more expensive food choices. I am giving 101 four stars, but I would describe the experience as somewhere between liked it and really liked it. That means 101 is really a 3.5 for me. But I can't give a half star, so I am rounding up instead of rounding down because the place is better than a three star restaurant. I suspect that I will return one day if I happen to be in the area.

Been looking forward to dinning at the 101 Beer Kitchen for some time. This eatery had been recommended to me as a restaurant with an extensive menu that most patrons would find many dishes to their liking. Needless to say they were right. The sides dishes were extensive. I chose the Mac & Cheese (Mini Rigatoni with a six cheese Mornay Sauce) delicious. For my main course I selected the Winter Apple Salad with smoked bacon, red onion and blue cheese dressing loaded with chunks of cheese. My wife ordered the Fish and chips with slaw. Everything was delicious and served at the right temperature. Service was terrific along with the setting. One nice thing is this is a restaurant that you can dine at without breaking the bank. Give this a try and you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic selection of beer! They have a Rubaeus Nitro beer that is sweet and super yum and their Hop Audit is a tasty, light, citrus IPA! Service at the bar was amazing and the food came so quickly! The butternut squash pierogi was 10/10 INCREDIBLE!! Relaxed, modern vibe. I'd love to come back!

We went back, because the food was good. Once again, the food was excellent. Great service for a late arrival and no rush (our server told us they had plenty to do so we were welcome to relax and finish our drinks). We ate in a smaller, more cozy bar area. This was nice compared to the larger area. They have a covered outdoor area as well as street side tables. These areas will be super nice in the spring and summer (which could happen any time of year here in Indiana). I had the Creole Walleye. It was simply delicious. The polenta was just crispy and the remoulade was creamy. Taste was great and the textures were perfect. My husband had the chicken parmesan (his go to). We will be back.

Somehow I had overlooked this gem until my sister suggested we go there for lunch. How had this great placed escaped my notice when it had so many things I love: a top notch beer menu, a cozy environment and warm pretzels? It's a fairly small restaurant, wrapped around the corner of a building across from Kroger. Overall it was a great experience. The restaurant was not very busy at the time and our server knew the beer menu well. Seems to me that when a restaurant is not busy, you sometimes get the worst service, but that definitely was NOT the case; our server was attentive without being intrusive. The quality of the food seemed so good overall, though admittedly our sample was small. I have been craving Caesar Salad, and if it had met my expectations, I would have given this experience a five. This Caesar Salad had no anchovy flavor and balsamic dressing. If that was explained in the menu, I overlooked it. In fairness, I did not ask the server to give me something else, but we we were on a short timetable and I didn't want to make a fuss.

If I was making a list of my top 10 restaurants, I think 101 Beer Kitchen would make the list. This place is fantastic! I love their rotating seasonal menu and the whole ambiance of the restaurant. Fresh ingredients and a menu that will please almost any palette. My server both times was so friendly and fun! They gave great suggestions and provided prompt service. My favorite dish I have tried was the chicken Parmesan with the gnocchi. I can't wait to go back each season to try their new dishes!
